We continued with our “Art with a Heart” project this weekend. Our featured non-profit was The Nest, a family crisis center in Lexington. We made little bird’s nests, which will be given to the families.

Our Sunday Art Class for Kids were busy working on their second “Art With A Heart” project this past weekend. We learned about WWI and the Remembrance movement. These poppies will be on display at the KY State Fair this year.

The Spring Semester of JCAL’s Sunday Art Classes for Kidd is underway! Our theme is “Art With A Heart”, and we are working on projects which recognize area organizations/businesses doing good things in our community.
Our first week featured Downtown Dogs. This business, located on Maple Street, supports the arts in Nicholasville and does many wonderful things to support the animal community in town. The kids made Dog Collages, which will be on display at Downtown Dogs soon.
