EverWonder Children's Museum, a 501(c)3 non profit organization, provides children accessibility to a place where they can learn about science, nature, and their general surroundings in a fun and playful environment. The museum's focus is on encouraging children to be curious about their natural surroundings and to enjoy the learning process. The museum houses both permanent and rotating hands-on

exhibits, as well as staff-directed demonstrations and science experiments. The museum is open on a walk-in basis. Reservations are recommended for busy times (weekends, school vacations, and bad weather days), and all demonstrations and experiments can be enjoyed by anyone in the museum. We offer birthday parties, field trips and summer camps.

Before the doors open, before the chefs start cooking, the veterinarians start caring for their patients, and the explorers begin discovering, there’s this quiet moment when everything is perfectly in place.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our last Summer Tuesday. From August 31st, we will be returning to our school year hours and will be OPEN from Wednesday to Sunday, closed on Monday and Tuesday. Follow us for more information coming soon about our annual "refresh & clean" closing in September.

Our Halloween Costume Drive begins TODAY!

It's never too early to get ready for spooky season! Come by the Library to drop and swap Halloween costumes. Why buy new when you can reuse?

Drop off gently used costumes Thursday, August 20, through Saturday, August 29.

Then, come pick up new to you costumes on Saturday, September 12.

Costumes for all ages! (gently-used and clean)
Accessories (wigs, hats, masks, treat bags, etc.)

Early dismissals can be great for kids...and a little less convenient for working parents. That’s where EverWonder comes in.

On 11 select Newtown elementary early dismissal days, children can ride their regular school bus directly to EverWonder, spend the afternoon with friends, play throughout the museum, enjoy hands-on activities and games, and stay until 5:00 PM.

Parents simply notify the school on the days their child will be riding the bus to the museum. We’ll take it from there!
