Time to say Goodbye . . .
Thank You for the Wonderful 3 Years!

I am so incredibly grateful to all the artists and customers who have made my dream come true over the last 3 years!!!

Vessel has been such a big “passion project” for me and my first “baby”! I am blessed to know how much of an impact it has made on the community. I wish we could have found a way to keep it going while I embark on my new dream journey of motherhood. But even with a few dedicated artists who were willing to pull together it just was not enough hands on to really make it work. So this is goodbye with a huge heartfelt THANK YOU!

Vessel Gallery and Clay Studio would not have been around if it were not for you!

Thank you to the talented artists who have shared their artwork with our community and a Giant Thank You to the Co-Op Member Artists who have been hands-on helping me run the Gallery over the years!

Thank you to the eager customers who have taken classes and those who bought artwork from our wonderful artists. Thank you to those dedicated returning art shoppers who love buying local handmade gifts!

Thank you to the Studio Members who built the clay community that made this space enjoyable to be in. I have made such sweet connections through the clay medium with you and you will surely be missed.

This space has truly been a wonderful gift to me and I hope it was for you as well.

A LETTER FROM THE OWNER

Greetings to all our super customers,

As I am writing this letter I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I am very sad to inform you that Vessel Gallery And Clay Studio LLC is permanently closing its doors. And on the other hand, I am so looking forward to starting my dream of having a family of my own!

It has really been such a joy and amazing time running the Gallery and Clay Studio here in Newport. I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for being so welcoming and supportive over the last 3 years! Since graduating from college in 2015 I had a dream of opening my own clay studio and fostering a creative environment. The art community here is so vast and wonderful from the artists to their supporters! Having this space of my own to enrich the community has been a true dream come true! However, as my life has changed, I am looking forward to moving onto a dream that I have had since I was a little girl. After meeting the love of my life and marrying him this last Fall we have become pregnant. Now my priorities are very different than they were 3 years ago when I started my journey with Vessel. I am due June 15th and will be living full time in Montana raising my little one.

Thank you all for your support and understanding at this time. I ask that you help us end this journey strong with a few events coming up at Vessel Gallery And Clay Studio.

Stephanie Nixon ~ Ceramic Artists
Like so many others, art has been a source of healing for me. I’ve faced struggles that made me feel like I had to hide who I truly was — to cover the imperfect parts of myself. For a long time, I couldn’t see the beauty in my flaws, but through my creative process, I’ve learned that imperfections aren’t flaws — they’re part of the story, a part of my story. I've learned to find love in the imperfect, the unfinished, and the unpredictable nature of the world around us.

Inspired by the organic flow of nature and the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, I embrace raw textures and abstract flows in my ceramics. Each piece is a quiet reminder that true beauty lies in imperfection and impermanence.
