Audrain Automobile Museum Established in 2014, the Museum transformed the historic Audrain Building into a captivating display floor, fit specifically for our cultural needs.

Located in Newport, Rhode Island, the Audrain Automobile Museum has a mission to preserve and present automotive history while connecting and engaging with other non-profits and the community as a whole. The Museum has access to collections with of over 300 cars, allowing for three fresh and unique exhibits per year. Ranging from Brass Era pre-War cars to Supercars of the 2000s, the Museum is dedicated to entertaining all generations and stylistic preferences. America’s love affair with automobiles is intrinsic and Newport’s role is essential. The Museum engages and educates the Aquidneck Island community through car events and other nonprofit activities to further its position within automotive history. As the Museum continues to grow, so does its status as a must stop destination for both car enthusiasts and Newport visitors alike!

Dress up the car, dress up yourself & bring a can (or ten) 🎃🚗 Trunk or Treat is back at Fort Adams!

Last year you helped us donate 1,526 lbs of food to the MLK Center, and this year we want to beat it. Your entry fee is canned goods, so every can you bring goes straight to the MLK Center.

A special moment from Audrain Concours & Motor Week reuniting two cars that have not been together in over 15 years! Both vehicles, a 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL, and 2009 Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren were purchased new by the same owner finished in an Ivory shade called “Elfenbein”. In 2009 Mercedes only built four “paint to sample” SLR’s, this example being the only one finished in “Elfenbein” to match the 300SL. An incredible moment getting both cars back together for a photoshoot after the supercar concours concluded on Saturday!

Nic Waller & David DeMuzio got us started, the glasses stayed full, the cheese board didn't stand a chance & the cars had a crowd around them all night.

✨🏎️ If tonight was the warm-up, the rest of the week is going to be something.

What a morning! 🐂✨

Simon Kidston's Amiurican Mission brought its Lamborghini Miuras to 222 Bellevue Avenue today and stopped in for brunch at the museum. Our guests toured "Best Shown: Winners from the Audrain Collections" & swapped stories with some true automotive legends, including Jay Leno, who's in town for the Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week.

Thank you to Simon & the whole Amiurican Mission crew for making Newport a stop on the tour. We'll be talking about the Miuras on Bellevue Avenue for a long time! 🏎️

Charles Mathews Dick, son of mimeograph Magnate A. B. Dick, resided in a “cottage” called Ocean View in Newport, Rhode Island. In 1934, Mr. Dick commissioned a unique Rolls-Royce Phantom II Special Brougham for his bride, the former Shirley “Garnett” Crossan, believing that she deserved to be chauffeured in the most elegant and graceful conveyance. It would be one of the most remarkable formal Rolls-Royces of the Classic Era.
The Dick Special Brougham featured nearly perfect lines starting from the sharply raked, vee’d windshield, a special design for Mrs. Dick and complemented by triangular roll-up windows in the front doors that functioned as wind wings. The rakish lines were brought all the way back to the classical Brougham-style rear compartment accented by tasteful electric carriage lamps.

Within the caned doors is an exceptionally comfortable rear compartment with a seat upholstered in Button-tufted wool cloth, personally selected by the Dicks, surrounded by inlaid woodwork, gold-plated hardware including the Brewster sill badges, and pleated cappings.

And now the 1934 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Special Brougham is coming home. It will participate in the Tour d’Elegance on October 3rd and be shown at the Audrain Concours on October 4th at Ft. Adams. This is a unique opportunity for spectators and attendees to see a truly remarkable Rolls-Royce with a memorable local history. Join us as we celebrate the return of this masterpiece at the October 3rd Tour d’Elegance and the October 4th Concours.
