What beautiful weather we had for Friday’s class Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill! We made seaweed pressings with seaweed from Corn Hill Beach and took advantage of the autumn UV rays to develop our cyanotypes. We had fun experimenting with seaweed & other materials, including turmeric and sumac, bubbles and salt. Going for that ethereal, watery look in this process. It was a great day with great results!

Space is available for my 2027 Mulranny Arts Retreat in Ireland! Join me for a week of creating seaweed pressings and cyanotypes along the beautiful west coast of Ireland in County Mayo. Along with creating art we will tour some outstanding historical places and visit the towns and countyside of Mulranny, Westport and Achill Island. On top of this, Prannie Rhatigan will give a presentation on edible seaweeds and share some delicious snacks and folklore.
