Third and Elm Press In 1965, Alexander and Ilse Buchert Nesbitt founded the Third & Elm Press at 29 Elm Street in Newport, Rhode Island.

Since that time, The Press has produced books, prints, and note papers. Since the founding of the Third & Elm Press in 1965, Ilse Buchert Nesbitt has produced a beautiful, personal collection of woodblock prints, limited edition books, note cards, and Christmas cards. The prints portray colored and monochromatic views of flowers and plants, land, sea, and cityscapes, including local Newport scenes

. Located in the historic Point section of Newport, visitors are encouraged to watch the artist at work using 19th-century printing presses. Open to the public Tuesday to Saturday, 11AM to 5PM, or by appointment.
