Art On The Block welcomes Mailei Gumban of Kokua Laʻan 🌿

Handcrafted handbags and pendant lights made from reclaimed exotic woods like macadamia and mango — each piece shaped by hand, from design to finish. Rooted in a deep respect for nature, their work reflects a connection to Hawai‘i through thoughtfully sourced materials and earth-friendly practices.

Mailei and Justin, a husband-and-wife team who grew up in Hawai‘i and now reside in the Hudson Valley, bring a quiet craftsmanship to every piece. Using non-toxic, hypoallergenic finishes and reclaimed wood, they create functional art meant to be worn, lived with, and kept for years.
