We just had to share!

We're thrilled to share that Newburgh Mercantile has been featured in the New York Times!

Our little shop caught the attention of a NY Times writer who included us in an article highlighting a boutique hotel group that's set to break ground on an upscale hotel right here in Downtown Newburgh. We can't wait to see how this new hotel will inspire even more
growth in our community!

Since the forecast is calling for rain, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s event.

The good news — we are already planning a new date later this year, so stay tuned for updates!

Art On The Block welcomes Mailei Gumban of Kokua Laʻan 🌿

Handcrafted handbags and pendant lights made from reclaimed exotic woods like macadamia and mango — each piece shaped by hand, from design to finish. Rooted in a deep respect for nature, their work reflects a connection to Hawai‘i through thoughtfully sourced materials and earth-friendly practices.

Mailei and Justin, a husband-and-wife team who grew up in Hawai‘i and now reside in the Hudson Valley, bring a quiet craftsmanship to every piece. Using non-toxic, hypoallergenic finishes and reclaimed wood, they create functional art meant to be worn, lived with, and kept for years.
