Anna Zorina Gallery

Anna Zorina Gallery www.annazorinagallery.com Anna Zorina Gallery is a contemporary art gallery devoted to the presentation of the powerful positive image.

The gallery represents emerging and mid-career American and international artists, focusing on artists who allow for intuition and intelligence to coexist. These artists don’t set themselves apart from the world but engage it with strong constructive responses to aesthetic, cultural and personal questions. The gallery sees negative poses and expressions as too easy to fall into in the current clim

ate, and chooses artists who have managed to maintain a joy in the expression of their vision, whose instinct is to embrace and include rather than attack and reject.

In “Primordial Soup” Anastasiya Tarasenko frames the ocean as a central image, suggesting hormonal shifts, emotional turbulence, and a force capable of both creation and destruction. Across these vast seascapes, a small female figure reappears, surfing waves, diving into rough waters, or caught between rising and falling. This multiplication suggests both a loss of singular control and an unexpected expansion into something collective.

“The Deluge” is a perfect example!

“Primordial Soup”, a solo exhibition by Anastasiya Tarasenko opens this Thursday, April 16th.

Through referring to the elemental conditions from which life is believed to have first emerged, Tarasenko’s latest paintings portray a space where origin and undoing coincide. These latest works stem from the trauma following a near-death experience caused by an ectopic pregnancy. In the aftermath, the artist describes feeling estranged from her own body, unmoored and unstable, as if subject to forces beyond her control. These works trace the gradual reclamation of agency, identity, and embodiment.

Join us for the opening from 6 to 8pm,

This Thursday, January 15th join us for the opening of John Bradford’s solo exhibition “If I Loved You”.

With the latest paintings, Bradford continues to depict vast space, air, light and lyricism: a balm for viewers to sooth the wild beasts inside and around. His work presents poignant reflections on the duality of our contemporary anxiety at odds with our inner yearning for completion, form, harmony, and beauty.
