Come view two new works by @alessandro_keegan at Booth B6 at @sffallshow.
Keegan’s newest paintings are inspired by impossible worlds and temporalities: the lost city of Atlantis and the time scale used to measure celestial movements in space.

Another stunning artwork on view at our booth B6 @sffallshow!
Sam Francis is considered one is the most innovative Abstract artists
his time. He travelled to Japan prior to making this work and was inspired by flung-ink paintings and the concept of the ‘void’, a mental state reached through complete silence and stillness. He later established a studio there.
He made his ‘Blue Balls’ series during a period of ill health - his title is a cheeky nod to this.
Sam Francis, Untitled (Blue Balls), 1961, matte acrylic on paper, 48 x 63.5 inches.

We are delighted to present Martyn Brewster’s first US solo show, after five successful shows at our London gallery. This is also the first exhibition at our New York gallery since the outbreak of Covid-19. It will take place simultaneously as an online exhibition and as a gallery show. On view by appointment from October 15 through November 16. Please contact us to receive a digital catalogue with price list, and for any other inquiries.
Brewster's abstract paintings from the last 25 years are strongly linked to the English landscape tradition. His paintings and drawings explore the natural light of the southwestern coast of the UK in Dorset, where he has lived since leaving London in the early 1990s. "My primary concern has always been with painting. I have never ceased to be fascinated and enthralled by the tactile and evocative qualities of paint, oil paint especially. Early on, I developed a particular interest in color and abstraction which is the key to my work, coupled with a lyrical and poetic response to both nature and the medium."
We are delighted to present Martyn Brewster's paintings to our clients in America. His works are already in a number of important private and public collections in the UK, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Museum, and the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum.

Waterhouse & Dodd is pleased to announce Tales from the Lens, our virtual exhibition of photographic works by some of the gallery’s leading established photographers alongside a selection of vibrant, new visions in contemporary photography.
The exhibition brings together both new and traditional means of image-making, highlighting where craft and concept come together to create new vantage points. From the meticulously crafted, photographed, and digitally stitched scenes by Kevin Vucic-Shepherd and Jean Francois Rauzier; to the mysterious, minimalist and tonal explorations of Kenan Aktülün, Constance Thalken, Shadi Ghadirian and Jay Zukerkorn; and beyond to the fantastical and dystopian landscapes staged in the photos by Chen Jiagang, Miru Kim and early Kim Keever works, this curated show presents a broad but interconnected range of diverse artistic visions and images of contemporary culture from around the globe.
Tales from the Lens is on view online September 15th through October 31st. Visit our website to view the exhibition.
