Humans 24 exhibition : everything that makes us human
What makes us human? 🤼
Opening today, Salmagundi welcomes the cooler season with a new exhibition that's all about the human figure. With artworks previously featured in American Art Collector magazine, our figurative exhibition returns to showcase the most exceptional of contemporary figurative art under a brand new name: Humans 24.
Through the art of recreating and observing the human figure, we connect to our humanity and our common existence. We invite you to explore these works and connect.

After a rousing success in February, Twelfth Night Ensemble returns to Salmagundi Club this summer! In their new program entitled "Snapshots", the 4-piece ensemble brings the audience on a journey through space and time, stopping to capture vivid moments along the way. We invite you to travel back four centuries with us; bask in the sounds of French Impressionism and fiery Romanticism; take a walk through the streets of 18th century Madrid; and finally, dance the night away with a rousing fandango!

Salmagundi Club is excited to announce the premiere of the Collectors's Circle tonight. To enrich their understanding of art, many members have requested programs to take advantage of both our exhibitions and the breadth of knowledgeable people that frequent our Club.
To this end, we have created the Salmagundi Collectors’ Circle. This program is more than a series of lectures, but an opportunity for members to join with other like-minded enthusiasts to share ideas on collecting and concepts. There will be talks, tours, dinners, meeting with artists, and the sharing of information and experiences together. All art lovers are invited to be a part of this special group.

The New York Figurative Show is now on display in the Skylight Gallery! A reception will be held on January 20th at 6 pm.
On Friday, January 14, there will also be a related panel discussion: "A New Generation in Figurative Art." Moderated by SCNY Vice President Patricia Watwood, with artist juror Hyeseung Song, and artists Richard T. Scott, and Brendan Johnston.
What drives a young generation to embrace the figure as their primary subject? How does the figure today connect with a contemporary audience and our culture at large? We want to hear what a rising generation in figurative artists bring to this eternal subject.
These artists, who are currently exhibiting in Salmagundi’s New York Figurative Show, will discuss the motivations and inspirations for figurative realism to a generation raised on post modernism and MTV.
