Hosted by L'INCONNUE's founder and director Leila Greiche, in our first episode artists Thea Yabut, Laurie Kang, and Jenine Marsh join the podcast to discuss Thea Yabut's recent solo show “VIBRISSA” at L'INCONNUE gallery, Montréal. We cover topics of how identity informs work both through the production process and conceptually, how travel permits discomfort and informs change in their practices, and, at the end, all of the artists answer a surprise question!

Thank you James D. Campbell Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary Art for your thoughtful review of Thea Yabut's exhibition VIBRISSA.

"Both touch and touching take on a whole new meaning. Yabut offers us new possibilities and models for the lived experience of touch, even as she adroitly caresses the inside of her viewers’ imagination."

In the new work Thea Yabut is exhibiting here, it is as though the gallery space has been invaded. The outliers of a curious biology have taken up residence.
