As 2024 comes to an end, we're looking back and celebrating an incredible year of exhibitions in our gallery.

This past April, we opened Spill Spell, an exhibition of new handmade paper works by Keltie Ferris.

For this exhibition, Ferris took a unique approach to papermaking by physically drawing in paper pulp with water - using a hose as an instrument to spray a wet sheet imbued with color.

He used this process to create gestural pigment dispersions at bodily scale, achieving varying depths of tones within non-representational 'blowout' drawings.

Given the short amount of time allowed for their creation, the works inspire freedom of play in a burst of action from the artist. Because each image is created in real time, they are all unique and can never be repeated.

As 2024 comes to an end, we're looking back and celebrating an incredible year of exhibitions in our gallery.

In May, we opened Liquid Light, an exhibition of twelve new prints and handmade paper works by Shahzia Sikander.

For the exhibition, she explored the possibilities of these mediums by cross-pollinating collagraphs, pressure prints, etchings, and pulp painting, creating a bold and nuanced body of work that exalts the fluidity of material, transition, and process.

Sikander is known for her decades-long engagement championing non-western art history to re-animate the relevance of pre-modern manuscripts and illuminated books. Pioneering Neo-Miniaturist painting, her practice turns a critical and creative lens toward Orientalist readings of Indo-Persian miniatures by rejecting strictures of iconography, with a particular focus on gender and power roles.

As 2024 comes to an end, we're looking back and celebrating an incredible year of exhibitions in our gallery.

In April, we presented our first solo exhibition of unique prints by Andrew Schoultz.

To create these monoprints, Schoultz worked in the Pace Prints studio, drawing figures and patterns on etching and relief plates to be used as a foundation for these editions.

The works were then sent to Schoultz’s studio, where the artist completed them with hand-drawn embellishments and collage over the printed motifs.

As 2024 comes to an end, we're looking back and celebrating an incredible year of exhibitions in our gallery.

This past October, we presented an exhibition of four new etchings and additional silkscreens by Jake Longstreth.

In his new series of hard ground etchings created with Pace Prints, Longstreth was interested in addressing contemporary themes using a traditional technique. His mark making – a combination of stippling, crosshatching, and striations – accumulates to gently reveal technological and corporate aspects of our world we might casually encounter at the edge of a parking lot or along a highway.

As 2024 comes to an end, we're looking back and celebrating an incredible year of exhibitions in our gallery.

In September, we presented Future Flora, an exhibition of new monoprints by Santi Moix.

The works are suffused with life, wherein plush blooms of flowers and threads of dots become intertwined, often radiating from the center of the compositions, or lying evenly in swaths of saturated color.

Future Flora was a continuation of Moix’s exploration of beauty and ephemerality. The exhibition drew from previous bodies of work published with Pace Prints: Hanabi (2019), inspired by the firework festival in Nagaoka, Japan; and Rippling (2012).

As 2024 comes to an end, we're looking back and celebrating an incredible year of exhibitions in our gallery.

In February, Austin Eddy's exhibition Longing For The Light, Love Letters From The Gloaming presented a series of unique paintings made with paper pulp at the Pace Paper studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

The works are a love letter to the end of day; a time that signals a pause on work, the unfilled space on a schedule before settling into evening rituals and sleep.

The quiet palette, subject matter, and the symbolism Eddy discovered in the process of papermaking contribute to the impression of stillness in these unique works that inspires internal reflection.

We are pleased to be presenting Peruvian Lilies by Hilary Pecis at Art Basel Miami Beach 2024.

Pecis’s saturated colors and interlocking planes are a perfect complement to her explorations in paper making.

Using pigmented paper pulp, Pecis stencils each detail of her work, embedding them into the fabric of the handmade paper.

We are pleased to announce that we will be presenting The ERA Book by Shahzia Sikander at Art Basel Miami Beach 2024.

Sikander is widely celebrated for subverting Central and South-Asian manuscript painting traditions and launching the form known today as neo-miniature.

Sikander’s prints introduce elements of experimentation and spontaneity to her practice, lending this body of work a complexity of surface that is not easily reduced or defined.

The works incorporate several print and paper making techniques including a fifteen color unique stenciled pulp painting with blowouts, gold leaf layering, and hand-painted gouache elements.
