Welcome to Presenza Oggi / Presence Today
• April 2027 • Poughkeepsie, NY

Presenza Oggi / Presence Today is an exhibition celebrating the vital, evolving visions of contemporary Italian and Sicilian American artists bound by a shared cultural heritage.

To have a “presence” is to be undeniable—to occupy space, command attention, and carry history forward into the current moment.

The artists in this exhibition do not treat their Italian and Sicilian roots as a distant memory or a rigid tradition. Instead, they draw upon their heritage as a living canvas, bringing it into the present through contemporary materials, ideas, and perspectives.

Through bold colors, rich textures, and distinctly modern voices, these visions collide and converse within the gallery walls. From the grit of the streets to the depths of personal memory, Presenza Oggi invites you to witness how identity is actively shaped, reimagined, and celebrated today.

They are here. Their voices are strong. And their vision is entirely their own.

Welcome to Presenza Oggi / Presence Today
April 2027

Today, an exhibition celebrating the vital, evolving visions of a group of contemporary artists bound by a shared cultural heritage.

To have a “presence” is to be undeniable—to occupy space, to command attention, and to carry history forward into the current moment. The artists in this exhibition do not treat their Italian and Sicilian roots as a distant memory or a rigid tradition. Instead, they use it as a living canvas, infusing modern mediums with a distinct cultural flair.

Through bold colors, rich textures, and sharp contemporary perspectives, these visions collide and converse within these walls. From the grit of the streets to the depths of personal memory, Presenza Oggi invites you to witness how identity is actively shaped, remixed, and celebrated today. They are here, their voices are loud, and their vision is entirely modern.

Featured artwork: The Trinity of Fortune by Antonio Ingenito ()

The work brings together two enduring symbols of Southern Italian heritage: the Neapolitan cornicello and the Sicilian Trinacria. By arranging three cornicelli in the three-armed form of the Trinacria, Ingenito creates a visual bridge between Naples and Sicily—uniting symbols of protection, resilience, good fortune, and centuries of tradition.

The piece celebrates a shared Mediterranean heritage and the idea that strength and protection are reinforced through unity, transforming these historic symbols into a contemporary expression of identity, fortune, and continuity.

UNWRITTEN
Lauren Rudolph
Oil on Canvas • 36” x 48”

There is a quiet power in what remains unsaid.

In Unwritten, Lauren Rudolph captures a deeply human moment suspended between vulnerability and strength. With one hand resting over her heart and the other extended outward, the figure seems to invite both reflection and connection—holding space for the stories we carry, the words we never speak, and the truths still unfolding.

Known for her compelling contemporary portraiture, Rudolph’s work explores identity, emotion, and the complexity of being seen. Her paintings draw viewers into an intimate dialogue, where gesture and expression speak louder than words.

✨ This original painting is available for acquisition.
🎨 Lauren Rudolph also accepts commission portrait requests, creating meaningful, custom works for individuals, families, and collectors.

Conduit Between Worlds
Artist: Nancy Parker

A space for reflection, healing, and transformation.

Conduit Between Worlds is an extraordinary visionary work that celebrates feminine power, intuition, transformation, and the mysteries that connect the earthly and the divine.

Surrounded by celestial stars, guardian dragons, and symbols of ancient wisdom, the central figure rises in a moment of awakening and self-discovery. The serpent, a timeless emblem of healing, renewal, and inner wisdom, weaves through the composition as luminous blues and radiant golds create a sense of transcendence and wonder.

Rich in symbolism and layered meaning, this piece invites viewers to reflect on their own journey of growth, resilience, and inner knowing. With every viewing, new details emerge, offering an experience that is both contemplative and transformative.

Congratulations to Diane Rosen on being featured in the current issue of Modern Renaissance art magazine — a well-deserved recognition of her powerful contribution to contemporary figurative painting.

Currently available through VOLITION Art:

“I’m Out of Here”
Pastel and Acrylic
43” x 31” framed

In this psychologically charged work, Rosen explores emotional tension, confinement, and resilience through expressive figuration and architectural space. The distorted posture and compressed environment create a striking visual meditation on endurance, vulnerability, and the instinct to move beyond limitation.

“Between Versions”
Danielle McDonald, Artist

A meditation on transformation, identity, healing, and the many selves we carry within us.

Layered with interconnected figures, rooted forms, homes, hands, and fragments of memory, this work speaks to the quiet process of becoming — the space between who we were and who we are still growing into.

This piece feels especially at home in wellness environments:
acupuncture studios, meditation spaces, yoga centers, psychotherapy practices, healing retreats, and spaces designed for reflection and restoration.

Art has the ability to regulate a room emotionally — to soften, ground, and open conversation without words. “Between Versions” invites pause, introspection, and connection.

Conduit Between Worlds
by Nancy Parker

She dances between worlds,
giving and receiving from both heaven and earth.

In awe of the galactic energies
that pour through her,
she gathers wisdom
for those she serves below.

In balance with her protectors
the male dragon of the sun
and female dragon of the moon
she feels safe, aligned.

The all-seeing eye,
a symbol of heart, mind, and soul,
awakens within her.

The coiled snake speaks of transformation, of rebirth,
as she sheds her skin
of what no longer serves.

Angels above remain ever near,
watching, casting their light upon her path.

She is one with the universe,
and with all that is.
