Bronx Children's Museum

Bronx Children's Museum BxCM is a new kind of multicultural, Bronx-inspired children’s museum operating with & without walls.

Bronx Children’s Museum will provide interactive query-based programs both inside and outside the Museum’s walls that promote literacy, the arts, science, cultural enrichment, greening and sustainability. The Museum will collaborate with, complement and support community-based organizations, shelters, foster care and day care programs and schools, as well as cultural and recreational institutions

in the Bronx. Our new art bus transports and operates traveling exhibits. The latest exhibit is Waters On the Go, an interactive diorama of the Bronx River and Orchard Beach.

This past weekend, we continued celebrating # AAPINH Month with a special edition of *Cooking by the Book*! 🍵🌸
We laughed, listened, and learned together as our incredible friends from hosted a beautiful, interactive tea party for our little ones and their families.
The highlight of the day? A truly magical reading of *”Luli and the Language of Tea”* with the book’s wonderfully talented illustrator, ! Just like the children in the story, our young visitors discovered how a simple cup of tea can bridge languages, connect hearts, and turn a room full of strangers into a circle of friends.
Seeing the smiles, the shared stories, and the creativity flowing through our space reminded us how beautiful our Bronx community truly is. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate the rich cultural traditions that connect us all. 🎨❤️
Take a peek at some of our favorite moments from the day!

Spent the morning with P.S. 47 and celebrating their Lenape learning projects, and the students did not miss a beat.

It was great to see our young people have the chance to learn by creating and understanding our history.

The Bronx is full of brilliant kids. Our job is to keep making sure they continue having access to spaces that help that brilliance grow. I’m proud to keep funding this program and every year see each class enjoy it more and more at P.S. 47!

High school students from partnered with elementary school students at BxCM for a hands-on engineering session, designing and building roller coaster/marble run prototypes using found materials.

Working together across age groups, students explored gravity, problem-solving, teamwork, and creative thinking while testing and refining their designs to see which team’s marble could travel the farthest. Experiences like these highlight the power of mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on STEM learning — and how museums can serve as spaces where young people learn with and from one another.

Big News: We’re on National TV Tonight! 📺
We are thrilled to announce that yesterday, BxCM hosted the recording of the MS NOW Special, “All In America: Mayor Mamdani,” hosted by Chris Hayes. It was an honor to welcome Mamdani to the Museum for the first time as he discussed his first 100 days in office.

We are deeply grateful to and team for choosing our space. This spotlight celebrates not only our organization but the entire Bronx community and the importance of spaces dedicated to our children.

Tune in to MS NOW tonight—Friday, April 24:
8:00 p.m. ET and 11:00 p.m. ET

Let’s celebrate this moment together!

Bronx Children's Museum is thrilled to be a grantee of World Cup for All Community Grant Program! This summer, as the world's most watched sporting event – the World Cup - comes to our region, with this funding will offer "The World Plays Here" programming, bringing the celebration directly to the Bronx.

We are grateful to ABNY for helping make this possible and for bringing the excitement of the World Cup to the Bx!
