If a vague mood is upon the tongue, which can frequently be the case, “contemporary” automatically comes out and is usually greeted with someones crunched unimpressed eyebrows waiting for more. So the second impulse to go ahead and lighten up comes out, “young, emerging and awesome art!?!”... Empty words... Fine... The arm as been twisted! We like bold, technical figurative works with themes of no
stalgic reflection or truths unrecognized and a general bucking-of-the-system type narrative. We like science fiction, ya know, stuff that’s not always everyone's’ reality like space, robots and cowboys. We like smart subtleties, witty warped things, stuff that just looks plan cool and causes your mouth to uncontrollably smirk. Innovative, visionary, 100% going to freaking emerge art. We like bright colors, corky and fun. However somber and mute can sometimes pull us in and we really like it when it has a twist that we secretly hope remains concealed until criticized so we can point it out and see the wheels reverse in y’alls head! Yes, Beauty and the Walt Disney Beast is about to be quoted “I want adventure in the great wide somewhere, I want it more than I can tell, And for once it might be grand, To have someone understand, I want so much more than they've got planned”... Art is one of humanities only everlasting ways of evoking emotional and causing uncontrolled examining thoughts to filtrate all of our brainwashed heads without mainly causing any physical harm. We are selling one-off products that define the buyer, imagine our nerves! Our hope is that after our endless searching, humble pie eating and ego halting presentations, that maybe in the end the world will be a tad bit prettier, happier and nicer because of our meager efforts.
