AMRM Gallery is pleased to present The Two Suns: As The World Runs Its Course - an exhibition of new work by U.S based artist Renelio Marin (b. 1964, Havana, Cuba) opening October 26th 6- 8 pm

Marin meditates on the inextricable links between the conscious man and the jungle, masculine and feminine, between the lightness and darkness of being. Marin's concrete awareness of this bipolarity inhabits the physical and psychological spaces of the paintings.
Marins enchanting large scale paintings are informed by art history, brutalist architecture, and the laws of The Jungle and The Garden. Working with a bold, vibrant color palette. Marin layers oil pastels and markers and builds texture with oil using a palette knife or directly from the tube to yield and confronting textures that excite and demand attention. Other works included in the show establish his mastery of brushwork and anatomical structure and ex*****on, the balance and beauty of neoclassical and Italian renaissance braided with his individual symbolism.

Renelio received a graduate degree from San Alejandro School of Fine Arts in Havana in 1993, a B.A in Studio Art from Hunter college in 2009 , and an M.A. in Media, Culture and Communication from New York University in 2011. Renelio lives and works in NYC.
Renelio’s work is in prominent personal and public collections internationally, including pieces in the Ruben foundation (New York), New Mexico Museum Of Art, and the Havana International Bank.
