There's just a few weeks left to experience Liz Glynn's "Open House."

At Storm King, "Open House" is placed directly in the natural landscape for the first time, allowing it to function as a ruin or an anachronistic architectural folly, the remnants of a bygone era altered by time and the elements. Nestled in the grasses, Glynn’s sculptures welcome visitors to take a seat and imagine the origin and former lives of the displaced furniture.

"Liz Glynn: Open House" is on view through November 9.

🍁🍃Foliage Update: Things are getting vibrant. The maple trees are in full color and putting on quite the show in our North Meadows, Tippet's Field, and Maple Rooms. As beautiful as it is, there's still more to come—many of our oak trees are just beginning to change color.

On October 31, we invite you to our Halloween Costume Spectacular!

Step into the Costume Factory with artist and performer Erica Enriquez, and transform into the creature of your wildest dreams! Using locally sourced, recyclable materials, costume stations will be set up to accommodate the imaginations of children and adults alike. Or arrive already dressed in your costume of choice. Once all are attired, join us for our culminating runway walk! Erica will be your humble pageant host, presenting all the gorgeous ghouls and goblins of Storm King!

The Costume Factory is open 12–2PM, and the pageant will be held at 2PM. This all ages event. Free with admission, no registration required.

Saif Azzuz’s "weych-pues / tàkhòne (where the rivers meet)" invites close looking. From drawings of native plants and Yurok motifs, to small sculpted forms of reclaimed hardwood and strings of abalone lying just beyond the viewer’s reach—Azzuz imbues his sculpture with shared stories of the land, its peoples, and the sturgeon.

"Outlooks: Saif Azzuz" is on view through November 9.

Welcome to our latest Shandaken Residents LIZN'BOW.

LIZN’BOW (Liz Ferrer & Bow Ty Enterprises Venture Capital) are an artist duo whose decade long collaborative practice merges performance, installation, and technology to create immersive works within their expanding Niñalandia universe. Working across digital art, sculpture, music, and performance, their projects use humor and world-building to explore identity, connection, and power through q***r and Latinx futurisms.

LIZN’BOW construct speculative environments that blur the line between fantasy and reality, spaces where cultural icons, pop media, and personal mythologies become one. Their practice centers Niña, their femme reggaeton band, as protagonists in their universe. Through a q***r and comedic lens, their work transforms the language of American and Latin pop into sites of humor, resistance, and reinvention

🍁🍃Foliage Update: As the colors continue to emerge, we're starting to see more yellows—head over to Andy Goldsworthy's "Storm King Wall" to walk under the canopy. Now is also the perfect time to experience the last of the wildflowers alongside the golden native grass.

Last night we held our annual gala at the Rainbow Room in NYC, raising funds to support the museum's collection, exhibition, education, and landscape programs. Thank you to everyone who joined us in honoring artist Alicja Kwade and Cathy & Peter Halstead.

Storm King currently has 14 David Smith sculptures on view. Spend some time indoors with rarely seen works by the artist before heading outside to see how the light plays on his stainless-steel pieces.

In "Anicka Yi: Message from the Mud" acrylic columns filled with organic matter rise from a shallow artist-designed pool—a pool the local widelife are putting to good use.
