Quarterly Membership Meeting and Potluck!
Saturday, 29 August 2026 5:30pm at the W.W. Thomas Park Dining Hall, 181 Station Road, New Sweden. Bring a friend and your favorite or renown dish to share. Please join us, meet your neighbors, New Sweden community and see what the New Sweden Historical Society is working on this upcoming year!
Membership renewals were sent by email, USPS or the link on the FB page.
Early view of Thomas Park before the band shell was built. The park was given to the town of New Sweden in memory of W. W. Thomas, Jr by his family after he passed away in 1927. The park became a focal point for recreation and celebrations including band concerts and picnics.

It was published in the THE NORTH, Minneapolis, MN, 6 November 1889, page 3 and relates the writers experience visiting New Sweden and the development of the Swedish Colony.
