Sophie T. Lvoff (b.1986, NYC) is a New Orleans based artist and curator. Lvoff uses literature as a jumping off point for her photographic-based work. Her most recent series “Hell's Bells / Sulfur / Honey” is informed by the 1961 Walker Percy Novel The Moviegoer and attempts to describe the indescribable in New Orleans through the search for authenticity. Sophie Lvoff is a participant of The Inter

national Arts Biennial, Prospect.3: Notes for Now, headed by artistic director Franklin Sirmans. Having received a BFA from NYU (‘08) and an MFA from Tulane University (‘13), her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries nationally & internationally and has been published in Artforum, The New York Times, The Guardian and Daily Serving. In 2014-2015, Lvoff will attend the Ecole du Magasin curatorial training program in Grenoble, France.
