And Now For Something New, Vol 8 Features the work of 16 new artists to the gallery including Paul Matheny.

From the Artist:

"These paintings are contemplative, reflecting the culmination of experiences, and the result of paying close attention to the surroundings and southern visual culture evident throughout my familiar landscape. Each painting reflects recurring visual elements, emotions, rhythm and thoughts. The results have methodically evolved. They are visual concepts that keep their secrets silent. They allow the viewer the opportunity to experience them through their own personal experiences and witness what can be learned from the stories from trees and the search for truth."

From the Artist: On Gibsland, Louisiana

"This piece is from a time taking day-trips through Northeast Louisiana, searching for interesting things to photograph. It reflects on what "home" means, a concept that I believe should be defined more by the people and experiences we carry within rather than the structures themselves. With this image, I wanted to present these homes in a positive light. They might not look like much or be the most desirable places to live, but they are still home to many, a place of safety, and love."

And Now For Something New, Vol 8 Features the work of 16 new artists to the gallery including Jacqueline Dee Parker.

From the Artist:

« My work begins with the belief that space is more than architecture; it is an emotional container where past, present, and future collectively reside. Collage guides both my practice and perception, allowing verbal, musical, and spatial languages to intersect. I work with antique literature, music books, and ephemera—materials that reflect my personal lineage and the analog culture rapidly disappearing from daily life. These fragments of lived experience become the bricks and mortar for a visceral construction of new spaces, shaped by memory, touch, response and time. »

From the Artist:

“In my paintings and sculptures, I am seeking a way to link the human desire for absolutes (order, alignment, balance and structure), with the ever-changing relativeness (circumstance, chance, magic, the unforeseen, and the mysterious) of our daily existence. Since some version of both exist continuously in our lives, my work is an attempt to unite them and celebrate their connection.”
