Continuing with more sounds of the studio. This time featuring the creation of a color palette. What other studio sounds would you like to hear?

Well I deleted my last post because registrations are coming in so quickly for my workshop in New Orleans that the content was out of date as soon as I hit post 🤣

There are only ✨ two ✨ spots left, so this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for two besties to come out to New Orleans together and make it a girls week 🩷👠🖌️👩🏼‍🎨 I'm thinking we channel our inner carnival spirit and stroll down Magazine Street, visit a few galleries after class, catch a live street performance—and of course, enjoy lots of foods that you didn't even know could be southern fried.

And not to worry, we'll burn it all off together because I can guarantee you we'll be dancing in the studio while we paint.

Grab all the details at the link in my bio ☝🏼

Zoom into one of my paintings, and you'll find a whole story hiding in the brush strokes. Go on, look a little closer. Magic's in the details 💫

I’ve always believed art should feel like an adventure.

Fun, a little messy, and full of surprises (like meee 🤣)

There is nothing better than a room full of creatives letting go of perfection, laughing, and seeing where the paint takes them. That is exactly the kind of energy I bring to my workshops 💫

Tickets are selling faster than you can say 🦐 crawfish étoufée!

💥 Only 4 spots left 💥

Grab the link in my bio to register and join the fun!

“HAY” guys! (Warning bad puns ahead)
“Halford Horses” is my newest series coming to and going live Monday! I know you are wondering when I started painting horses lol- I am a non figurative abstract gal- but ever since I saw a photograph of these horses (taken by my daughter in laws family at their farm) I just knew I had to paint them! It’s nice to veer out of your lane (or trail, that’s 2 if counting) and paint something that strikes a chord with you, it brings a fun new energy to my studio and challenges me creatively. In the series of photographs these magnificent animals were in the distance masked by early morning fog but still commanded the landscape. I saw the opportunity to graze ( #3) in both realism and magical abstraction by marrying bold unrealistic color to the landscape.
Follow along in stories this week to see more glimpses, and if you are in the naaaayyyyyborhood ( #4) please stop by studio for some equine time! 🐴

So this little thing happened in February —We are simply beside ourselves over baby Hollis Evelyn Bolton (Hollis) —- Pepper (my grand dog) pretty much sums up what we all want to do all day…. That is stare, lick, and stick our noses on her! Let the fun begin— we love you so much!
