Well I deleted my last post because registrations are coming in so quickly for my workshop in New Orleans that the content was out of date as soon as I hit post 🤣

There are only ✨ two ✨ spots left, so this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for two besties to come out to New Orleans together and make it a girls week 🩷👠🖌️👩🏼‍🎨 I'm thinking we channel our inner carnival spirit and stroll down Magazine Street, visit a few galleries after class, catch a live street performance—and of course, enjoy lots of foods that you didn't even know could be southern fried.

And not to worry, we'll burn it all off together because I can guarantee you we'll be dancing in the studio while we paint.

“HAY” guys! (Warning bad puns ahead)
“Halford Horses” is my newest series coming to and going live Monday! I know you are wondering when I started painting horses lol- I am a non figurative abstract gal- but ever since I saw a photograph of these horses (taken by my daughter in laws family at their farm) I just knew I had to paint them! It’s nice to veer out of your lane (or trail, that’s 2 if counting) and paint something that strikes a chord with you, it brings a fun new energy to my studio and challenges me creatively. In the series of photographs these magnificent animals were in the distance masked by early morning fog but still commanded the landscape. I saw the opportunity to graze ( #3) in both realism and magical abstraction by marrying bold unrealistic color to the landscape.

So this little thing happened in February —We are simply beside ourselves over baby Hollis Evelyn Bolton (Hollis) —- Pepper (my grand dog) pretty much sums up what we all want to do all day…. That is stare, lick, and stick our noses on her! Let the fun begin— we love you so much!
