I almost didn't paint him, but Ben really encouraged me to go for it, and I'm so glad he did. I love doing portraits, and Lil Wayne is especially fun (and challenging) with all that he's got going on on his face. And you've gotta see it in person. I glued on some jewels on his grill and it really sparkles. I even add sparkles to the prints I make of this.
I've sold originals of this twice, and will keep painting him, as they sell. 🤷‍♀️
This one is 18x24" on deep cradled wood, and available for $420 😉
Wood mounted prints 9x12" for $60.

I'm addressing envelopes today! Here's a sneak peek of this month's print, and I'll give you a hint on the lagniappe - it's a subject that literally EVERYONE loves. Seriously. I polled the whole world, and they all said "yep, love it". 😉 Any guesses??

I'm a big fan of Lauren and Fleurty Girl 💚⚜️and this is an interesting little tidbit on the calliope, and Miss Debbie. 🎹
I used to work across the street from the Natchez's dock, and heard this up close daily. I can still hear it now at my home in The Marigny.

Another random fun fact. One of our main roads is called Calliope but we pronounce the street "cal-ee-OPE", but still call the instrument "kuh-LY-uh-pee"
Ok, one more - Calliope is the chief of the Muses and the goddess of epic poetry and eloquence in Greek mythology.
Our Calliope Street is in a neighborhood where many of the streets are named after Greek Muses, and one of our Mardi Gras Krewes is called "Muses" (my favorite parade), and it's an all women Krewe. 👠🐥
