Vampires! Have they always been amongst us?
This coffin was for Claudia from Anne Rices Interview with the Vampire, the movie. It stands in my Haunted Museum NOLA. It is the lone Survivor of hurricane Katrina at the flooded storage facility that destroyed all the other VAMPIRE’s beds; less this single solitary child’s coffin.
The thoughts of vampires danced in my head As a child. Being born and raised in New Orleans proper I certainly had all the historic ghost stories, Swamp monster warnings, premature burial fears and tales of pyramids of cadavers left on the banquettes from times of plague to source my style.
I spent weekends Wandering through anandoned buildings and playing hide and seek in between tombs in nearby cemeteries with strange “cassettes” peaking through near.
I am direct descendant, blood kin. of a “filles d’cassete” , several, for mine was 1 of 3 fille sisters d’cassette who came 10 generations ago.
Greetings Genevive, I am known as Bloody Mary.
“But that , I am sure you know”
And see the portrait above, yes, that is Madame Lalaurie. I am not bloodline to that vampire, but my cousin Emille d Soniat Trosclair built her mansion that became known as the most haunted house in the south! And she built it on top of the cemetery!
…there was no escape for me, though I tried!…
I am of a native born Creole family here since 1699. A founding family. They were all explorers in one form or another, so am I. I am born raised here & Carry 12 creole generations.
