Dover Museum

Dover Museum Dover Museum The Dover Historical Society was established in 1995 following the gift of the former glove factory-creamery building for a museum.

The Society uses the building to provide for the recognition and preservation of historical artifacts of New London and the surrounding areas. Displays include items used in the home, on the farm, in churches and former businesses of our area. The "Brick Room" library has significant historical records of Henry County. Volunteers provide help to many visitors with their family genealogy searches,

demonstrate skills and crafts used by settlers to school groups and offer meals to School Reunion and other social events.

Dover Day was wonderful for our community even though we had an incident that saddened us. One of our Dover Museum volunteers had their wallet stolen from the museum Saturday. We would be most grateful if the wallet were returned.
