timecard is a ‘greeting’ card collection like no other. Each card is unique and made by hand on an actual folded timecard. It is a 4” X 4 1/2 “mixed media collage made from vintage (mostly children’s picture books, late 1800s- 1950s) and new, some recycled, materials. I often use anthropomorphosis to make a flexible or universal statement. Typical occasions are represented: birthday, wedding, holi

day, new baby, health and wellbeing as well as some not typical. There is a collection of dog, pig, bunny and cat cards, cards to send to politicians in support of socio-political issues, endangered and at risk animals and a set of cards about broken pencils. I recently made an edition of 25 similar cards addressing guns and tragedy, given away for free along with an addressed stamped envelope to the two CT senators. I also make theme-y cards, for thematic art exhibitions and once for a coffee shop, and commissions for invitations or custom birthday or other occasion cards. https://sites.google.com/view/marthasavage
