The Festival celebrates a wide variety of musics through the Portland String Quartet including collaborations with Brother Arnold Hadd and guest artists. wles Paine Quartet in D Major (1855). Thursday, June 28 features Brother Arnold Hadd, Shaker Quick Dance and Shaker fiddle tunes. Master fiddler Gregory Boardman will demonstrate the connections between these tunes and traditional fiddle music, and he and the PSQ will premier Boardman's Quintet for Fiddle and String Quartet. The program for Saturday, June 30th is "Out of the Box!- Women Composers Break Barriers with Original Masterpieces.
