Arts & Education at the Hoyt is a subsidiary of The Hoyt Center for the Arts, regional arts center and museum located within the North Hill Historic District of New Castle, PA. Our mission "to expand and enrich the life of our community through participation in the arts” is carried out through a year-round schedule of exhibits, classes, workshops, events, school & after-school programs, concerts f

Give your child an after-school experience filled with creativity, curiosity, and FUN — completely FREE for Lawrence County students in Grades 1–6!

Every week brings a new discovery at the Hoyt! Inspired by what’s happening in our galleries and museums, students will create art while exploring science, history, music, culture, and the world around them through fun, hands-on projects.

A new season of creativity is about to begin at the Hoyt!

Our 𝙁𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙚 is here, with opportunities to paint, draw, work with clay, create stained glass, learn an instrument, dance, sew, knit, photograph and so much more.

There are classes and workshops for kids, teens, adults and families - whether you’re trying something for the very first time or ready to build on skills you already have.

What a summer it’s been! As the season winds down and we get ready for fall, we’re taking a look back at some of our favorite moments from the past few months. 📸

From Summer Art Camp and the Children’s Summer Arts Festival to creative activities, special events, and getting out into the community, our summer was packed with art, fun, and plenty of great memories!
