There has been an update on the days the Fort Stark Visitor Center will be open. Now it is only open Friday - Sunday and on holidays from 10-3.

Update on Visitor Center hours - -- It will, be open Fri.-Mon. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and also all holidays. between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

2023 Schedule for Fort Stark State Historic site - The gate to the parking lot will be opened around 10 a.m. (perhaps earlier, perhaps later) and will be locked around 6 p.m. (perhaps later). The Visitor Center will be open Wed. mornings and also Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. It will also be open on holiday Mondays and the 4th of July. These opening times are dependent on volunteers so the times are not definite.

The fort stark visitor center is now open for the season. It will be open Friday to Monday from 10:00 until 3:00 and will be staffed by state employees. The gate to the parking lot will be open every day. However, the gate is opened by volunteers so every day the opening time will be different.. The plan is for it to be open no later than 9:00 a.m.

There are also two porta potties in the parking lot.

Hopefully this is the last change the State makes to the fort's opening hours. Here are the latest revisions.

Saturday & Sunday - May 29-June 20, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m
Thursday - Sunday - June 24-October 11, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m
Open Memorial and Labor Days 2021 10 a.m. - 4 p.m

Also, the volunteers will attempt to open the parking lot gate each day by 9 a.m. Please keep in mind that these are volunteers and occasionally the gate may not be opened but we'll try our best.

The state of NH just revised the opening hours of Fort Stark. Here they are:

Saturday & Sunday - May 29-June 20, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m
Friday through Monday - June 24-October 11, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m
Open Memorial Day 2021 10 a.m. - 4 p.m

According to the State of NH, below is the latest information regarding when Fort Stark Visitor Center and parking lot will be open to the public this summer.

Open weekends only May 29 – June 20, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Open full time June 24 – Oct. 11.
Will be open on Memorial Day 2021

I will post a message here when the parking lot at fort stark opens. As of right now, the gate will not be unlocked before memorial Day. However, if that changes I'll post it here.

The parking lot at Fort stark will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 until 4:00 p.m. until Columbus Day.
