New Bremen Historic Association Dedicated to preserving and discovering the history of New Bremen, Ohio. See how our town has changed over the years and see how much has remained the same.

We will use this page as a way to educate and update our followers regarding the history of New Bremen, Ohio. In the future look for interesting photo's from our past and learn the history behind them. There will be a few guessing games we may challenge you with as well. And we're very welcoming to your questions! We have countless resources at our disposal and will do everything within our means

to help you answer those questions. We would love for this to be a very interactive page so please get involved. Our community is very fortunate to have so much of our history preserved and our association along with all of the residents of New Bremen wish to preserve and discover every piece of it that we can. Today another look back about 100 years at some of the early "filling" stations of New Bremen, which is what the original gas service stations were once called in the 1920's & 1930's. At one time, there were twelve places to fuel up in New Bremen, with gas as low as 13 cents a gallon in 1940!

If it has been a while since you've been in our museums, today is OPEN HOUSE at both of our locations. Both the Luelleman House, at 123 North Main Street, and the Pape House, at 236 North Main Street, will be open from 1- 3 PM this afternoon. Stop on by an relive the history of your hometown.

A little update and look back to the area in our town on the south side of W. Monroe Street, west of the railroad tracks. Originally the site of Louis Huenke's dairy, the White Mountain Creamery which he opened in 1884. In 1928 they merged with Beatrice Foods and operated there until a disastrous fire 30 years ago in 1996.Today the site is owned by Crown and operated as Plant #12, which is currently being expanded buy a large addition.
