This year's event is happening on Tuesday, September 15, at Cisco Brewers New Bedford. We've got 18 terrific chefs lined up for an evening that's destined to be one for the history books!

Are you peeling out of here 🫣

There are only 4 sundays left to visit the center. Then, we will resume winter hours 🙃

It won't be long before the waterfront will look ... cold. The season shift in New England is one I've grown to appreciate. It helps transition folks from the outside to in. There is always something to be grateful for during a season shift.

The cooler season allows for a slow down. Its a time for boats to tie up, its time for a hibernation. But, the center won't be hibernating. We will be utilizing the time to bring you in house activities. Finding more ways to get you to connect to our beautiful working waterfront. And, more ways to keep you engaged 😎

It is important to us, to share our knowledge with you. To keep you entertained within the industry. And, to always keep you in the know. FHC staff and volunteers will be on site showcasing our Casting A Wider Net exhibit. We will also be offering a FREE family photoshoot from 3-4pm. Stop by and see us!

Just look at this beautiful vessel, doing their thing. Setting up shop for gear work? To head out? Are they coming in?

Watching the waterfront operate and do its thing, its something special. Why? Because its super exclusive to our port. You can go to various ports in the US and we still have the most profitable 😎

Day in and day out, men and women diligently work in tandem to keep this space moving. Keeping it fresh. And, feeding our community. There is so much to learn about and so much folks don't know about!

Good Morning!!!

Are you a person who's in love with content about the working warerfront!?!?

WE ARE!

There are so many gorgeous photos of boats in both sunrise and sunsets. And, the older I get, the more I find it super cool to hold at least 4 photos together and pan out our seasons. The water coloring for each season is interesting for sure. The deep bluegreen that almost looks like black, to that cold green look in the winter.

Each boat sharing its own colors and characteristics making them unique in their own way. Some photographers lucky enough to even catch a working crew for some fun action shots! The diversity on the warerfront is nothing short of amazing.

If you love this as much as we do, we would love to see you!!! Come by, say hi, learn more about our waterfront and how it serves a valuable purpose to our surrounding communities !

Thankful Thursdays !

The center operates a whole metric ton by the works of volunteers and consignors!

We truly couldn't keep the passion alive if it wasn't for our fantastic community that is consistently rallying behind us! And always willing to work with us on items for our gift shop or any hands on deck event!

Up next; a truly loved New Bedford based potter. New Bedford Pottery has graced us with her pottery creations, and jessie drools every single time. There is so much hard work and dedication that goes into crafting pottery pieces, and Stephanie has got them down to a science. Having lived here her whole life, the coast is just a little touch of where she acquires her inspiration. Whether youre in the market for an ornament to gift or a trinket dish to keep for yourself, we have been blessed to obtain a sprinkle 😎

Our friends at New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park are hosting a Junior Ranger Station this Saturday, August 22! Stop by the visitor center from 9am until 5pm to participate in a number of fun, family-friendly activities.
