Cultural Arts Center Patrons, come learn how you can win an exciting prize this summer!

We’re proud to offer a Friends & Family 4 Pack admission ticket courtesy of the Indiana State Library to a lucky patron attending one of our artmaking events through July 31st. This ticket provides free admission to four (4) individuals visiting the Indiana State Museum and several Indiana Historic Sites. To be eligible to win simply attend one of our many artmaking classes offered this summer and tag us on Facebook or Instagram with a picture of your creation! Our winner will be randomly selected after the eligibility window closes on July 31st.

During today's All About Art: Underground Railroad, Not A Subway event from 4-5:30 PM, we'll be watching a special episode of Craft in America featuring a puppeteering performance by Dr. Schroeder Cherry, and afterwards patrons can learn to make their own puppets inspired by the show! Come join us during the fourth week of June for a Two-Part Workshop led by REDEMPTION artist Jaylin Stewart! During this workshop, patrons will learn to make their own resin Lip sculptures or a resin keychain inspired by Jaylin's installation piece, "Soft Threat".
Part 1 will take place on Tuesday, June 23rd from 2-3 PM, where patrons will learn the basics of resin safety procedures and experiment with materials, and leave their work to cure before completing their pieces during Part 2 on Thursday, June 25th from 4-5 PM! We do ask patrons to register for both parts of the class.

Pick up a kit to learn to make art like REDEMPTION artist Jaylin Stewart when you visit the Cultural Arts Center for this year's Cultural Pass! Patrons can take home a set of activity sheets by Jaylin and learn all about her alter ego Monet' the Doll AKA Ne' Ne', as well as a bubble wand, a set of crayons and a mini-sketch book, and an insert about the exhibit. We had a great turnout for our first Meet & Make workshop for June! This month, we're learning the basics of cyanotype printing every Monday from 3-6 PM! Join us each week as we learn the history of this unique solar-powered printmaking process and make your own prints with pre-treated papers and a collection of curious objects provided by the Cultural Arts Center!
