Hi Guys.

Been a while since I posted but we have been working on a number of our projects, I will wait for another time to talk about those.

As many of you know the museum supported by our friends has been running a Veterans homeless and general homeless outreach program supplying food blankets, medical and hygiene supplies. I hate to have to say at this point we have distributed everything we had on hand but more importantly "ALL" of our sources have shut down. I will continue to try and locate supplies but I am not very hopeful.

A while ago we teamed with a good friend and the Quest church to go out and actively locate those that need help, feed them a hot meal and try get the Vets to seek help. With the new rules in place we are not allowed to do this for the foreseeable future. At best the streets are not very friendly, many homeless have compromised immune systems, for many the future is bleak. Please if you have anything to spare put a bag in your car, you don't have to expose yourself, just open the window a crack and pass it out. I do not normally show pictures of what it's like in the camps but today i am making an exception.

I want to offer help to any elderly locally that are isolated and that may need help picking up prescriptions or other errands. Please call the museum and if we are able we will pickup what you need.

I hope you all stay safe and when it's over we can get together at the museum again. God bless

"Red" Smith's drone museum, the AUVM is having a soft opening next weekend.

Many of you know the family have been working hard for two years to get it ready for people to see.

They are having the granddaughter of the man considered to be the father of unmanned aircraft as a guest speaker.

If you can support the event please come out and enjoy Red's legacy.

We got some more pictures of the kiddo's Saturday. Thanks again for all the hard work.

Also forgot to thank them for food and cookies the bought over for guard guys to enjoy.

This weekend marked the 2 year anniversary of Col. Red Smith death.

His family have done an awesome job of turning his drone collection into the museum he always dreamed of starting.

Located in Caddo Mills, the AUVM had a fly in this past weekend.

The collection is amazing with military drones from the late 30's to some still flying today, their engine collection is about the best in the country.

I only got to stop by briefly, say hi and snap a few pictures. Their current project is a rare Firebee drone, standing in front is Red's son Doug and grandson Marshall.

We had a visitor at 7am this morning.

Abbot 07EB81 after her trip across the pond.

She was purchased in the UK by our friends at the Hawthorne Ordnance Museum in Nevada and will be breaking her trip to Nevada to get work done on her before final leg of her trip.

Thanks to a small private donation the museum has finally been able to start some of the framing in our new building.

We get many amazing artifacts donated to Museum but this one stands out.

This tile is from the site of the Hiroshima atomic blast and was in a group of artifacts from a gentleman who was an air gunner on the USS Yorktown.

The MQM-74A is finished after a full restoration back to operating condition. This drone was one of the many saved by Lt Col. Red Smith. Originally built as a US Navy bird it flew with the Israeli armed forces as a "Telem" decoy for a number of years, It has been restored to its original period US Navy color scheme. Markings will be applied in next week or so.

Got to take the Abbot on its first test drive. The new pump really helps, thanks Dave.

Chapmen Electric in Dallas did an incredible job rebuilding the pump.

We will post an update on some of the other things going on at the museum later but we wanted to share this.

For some weeks we have been working to bring an extremely rare WW2 vehicle to the museum, this being due to the generosity of Mr Richard Lavanture of Elkhart Indiana and a good friend Chuck Forgay who worked to make it happen.

The 1939 Latil M7T1 is an extremely rare French military vehicle from the Second World War, this is the only example we believe in the US and one of a mere handful in the world.

Chuck will load it tomorrow and it will be heading for Texas, we expect it to arrive late Saturday or Early Sunday.

We also need to thank the Enterprise Holdings Foundation (Enterprise Rent-A-Car) for a generous donation that has covered the expenses of the move and Brittany Atkins who arranged it.

I hope you take the opportunity some time to come out and look at the Latil, needless to say we can't wait to get it on the road.

Thanks again to everyone that helped.

Thanks to the generosity of Carolyn Mittel we went and picked up a 1942 Ford GPW yesterday.

It took a trailer and three trucks to get everything back to museum.

Special thanks to Gene for helping get everything together and ready to move.

We pulled out a friends Deuce truck today from behind the armor building where it had languished for a few years. Few hours of work and a couple small service issues and she is running like a champ.
