Only one more week to view local artist, ’s, largest solo exhibition here at Gallery 125. Gallery hours are 11-6pm daily. Be sure to join us for an artist talk on Wednesday 1.29 at 7pm, an artist led discussion on art marketing on Friday 1.31 at 9am and a closing reception on Saturday 2.1 from 3-5pm.⁣

Opening Reception Thursday January 23rd , 5 to 7 pm.

Jude Bischoff, seldom seen locally, will be showing his paintings at Gallery 125 for one week only. This is the first time in several years that a large body of his work will be available for viewing in Western Nevada County.

Nature swims through Jude’s paintings like a fat bellied fish in a cool mountain stream. His landscapes start on site capturing the rhythm and energy of the environment. He paints naturally from his heart with no preliminary drawings or idea sketches confidently using the brush to draw his painting. This connection to the muse delivers to the viewer a world of joy, rhythm and unbridled aliveness.

Jude has been a former festival artist for the Wild and Scenic Film Festival and his painting was featured on the 2015 poster. He recently received Best of Show at the Durango Autumn Arts Festival. He is also a former board member of the Nevada County Arts Council.
