Aug 31. News flash - it's that time of year again to clean out the garage, gather the parts, etc together that you don't need any more and bring it to the Top of the Lake Swap Meet in Naubinway, MI! It's our kick-off to the snowmobiling season, but everything recreational is welcome at the swap meet. You can start arriving at 7 am and it's done around 3pm and located in the parking area behind the Museum. Admission to the swap meet includes admission to the Museum all day. If anyone has any questions, call Charlie at 906-291-0628. It's a fun day to gather with others who have the same crazy interests.

Aug 27. We had 2 surprise legends come in today- Dana Wiltse and Jim Talentino. They had some work to do on the Jim Adema sled, which they were able to finish today. No, they didn't start it up, but it is looking good. It sounded like Jim was the head mechanic on this project. It was great to see them again!

Aug 25. Our Special visitor today was Derek Hafner, a grandson of Ralph Plaisted. He dropped off a light jacket that he wore when the Expedition crew came back from the North Pole! That will definitely go in the large display we are starting to think seriously about doing! Thank you Derek!!

We have lost a member of our snowmobile community. Paul Buckler was a part of the rear engine ride for many years. He was battling cancer and many didn’t even know it. He always had a smile on his face and never ever complained. Paul always offered to help, brought us treats from home, and loved to talk about his love of family and of course snowmobiles. He will be greatly missed!
