Only 10 days left! BNA® is on the hunt for artists with BIG imaginations and bold ideas to help bring the new Concourse A concessions node to life. We’re rebuilding Concourse A from the ground up and searching for an artist to broaden our passengers' horizons 😉 and make what will be the newest concourse at BNA® unforgettable.

Picture a lively gathering spot with big airfield views and a ceiling calling out for an unforgettable hanging artwork. We’re looking for artists who can bring a little extra magic to a space millions of travelers will pass through on their way to new adventures.

Concourse A is set to open July 11, 2028, but the submission deadline for the art piece is Sept. 4, 2026. If that sounds like you or someone you know don’t wait! In search of inspiration, BNA® is looking for artists to help shape one of the signature spaces within the New Horizon program. Concourse A was fully demolished and is being rebuilt into a larger, modern concourse designed to support continued growth at BNA®. Now, Concourse A becomes a blank canvas—ready to be transformed into a place that reflects Music City’s identity and elevates the passenger experience.

New Horizon is reshaping how we welcome the world to Nashville, and the reconstructed Concourse A plays a critical role in that vision. When complete, it will offer expanded passenger amenities, new dining and retail options, 16 gates, moving walkways, and indoor and outdoor spaces that celebrate the region’s spirit and meet the long‑term goal of accommodating up to 40 million annual passengers at BNA®.

At the heart of this concourse sits the concessions node—a central gathering space with views stretching to the airfield and a ceiling designed to host two suspended sculptures. Here, artists are invited to create a large-scale art piece that will be visually complementary and create a strong visual impact for passengers on both the concourse level and the second-floor lounge.

As New Horizon continues to redefine what travel through BNA® feels like, we are in search of artists who can bring creativity, transparency, and layered visual expression to a space built for millions of journeys—turning this blank canvas into a signature landmark for Nashville and all who pass through it.

Happy 93rd birthday to Phil Ponder, a member of our Arts at the Airport Board! Phil is a local artist who has spent over 40 years documenting Nashville’s history through pen, ink, and watercolor. And this year, he’s celebrating two incredible milestones — 93 years young and 20 years on our Arts at the Airport board.

We are so grateful for Phil’s guidance, dedication, and lasting impact within the local art community.
