Sarratt Gallery Sarratt Art Studios and Gallery, on the main floor Sarratt Student Center at Vanderbilt University. each weekday and is closed on weekends.

During the summer months, as well as holiday and semester breaks, the gallery closes at 4:30 p.m. For additional information, call 322-2471. All events are open to the public free of charge. Complimentary parking for Sarratt Gallery events is available in the garage at 25th Avenue South. Metered parking is available at Grins Café at the corner of 25th Avenue and Vanderbilt Place. Hostile Terrain 94 finally came to Vanderbilt. The month of September was spent completing the toe tags, installing them on the map and then viewing/reflecting on the final result. Over 3200 toe tags were filled to represent 3200+ deaths of people crossing this part of the border in Arizona.

“The Nature of Things”, an exhibit of handwoven tapestries by artist Tommye Scanlin.
First pic is the finished tapestry “Eight Leaves from the Mountain” the second is the work still on the loom with the painting above as a reference, and then third is the acrylic painting. Tommye created a series of paintings while on a residency at the Lillian Smith Center in Georgia several years ago and completed this piece in 2019.
