Here comes another glorious fall weekend! 🍁 Peak foliage is moving south, bringing brilliant color to the Maine coast, New Hampshire’s Lakes Region, and Connecticut. Find out where to catch the best color this weekend, which areas are past peak, and where the show is just getting started.

📣 And remember: “Past peak” doesn’t mean the color is gone! There’s still plenty of fall beauty to enjoy.

Planning to leaf-peep this weekend? 🍁 Peak color is putting on a spectacular show across northern New England, while the wave of brilliant fall foliage continues its march south. Recent high winds have taken down some leaves on the higher slopes of Vermont’s Green Mountains and New Hampshire’s White Mountains, so expect more variable color at higher elevations.

Call for Art: Lil’ Holiday Art Sale

Creative Guts invites artists from New England to submit small works for a group exhibition at Art Up Front Street Studios and Gallery, 120 Front Street, Exeter, NH. The exhibition begins on Saturday, November 28th (known as Small Business Saturday), and concludes on Saturday, December 19th. The opening reception will be from 1 pm to 4 pm on November 28th.

This curated collection of small works will help the public shop locally and give the gift of art this holiday season. There is no set theme, only a size requirement of work in any dimensions under 10” by 10”. Submission Deadline: Friday, October 23rd

Submission Guidelines

Size: 10” x 10” or under in any ratio
Medium: Two-dimensional (2D) works in any medium of originals or framed limited edition prints
Price: $50 minimum (this can include a set of works sold as a collective). There is no maximum price limit.
Work must be original or framed limited edition prints. Original works must be framed or in the case of canvas, works may be unframed with clean edges (painted or bare - it must look tidy and intentional).
No works made with generative AI.All work must be wired and ready to hang upon arrival. Any work that is not ‘hang ready’ may be excluded from the exhibit.
Submission of work does not guarantee acceptance or exhibition. A jury of Creative Guts Programming Committee members will review all works and artists will be notified by November 4th if they have been accepted.

Fees and Commission

$10 submission fee per entry (You can submit up to three works for jurying) If this fee is a barrier, please email [email protected] to request a submission waiver.

For all sales, artists retain 80% and Creative Guts retains a 20% commission.

Submission Deadline: Friday, October 23rd
Acceptance Notification by: Wednesday, November 4th
Artwork Drop Off: November 18th through November 21st (10am to 4 pm)
Exhibition Dates: Saturday, November 28th - Saturday, December 19th (during open hours of the gallery which are Wed through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm)
Opening Reception: Saturday, November 28th, 1 pm - 4 pm
Artwork Pick Up: December 20th from 12 pm - 4 pm, December 21st from 5:00 pm - 8pm
