A proud day at Cleveland House!

We were honored to host the dedication of a brand-new scale model of the historic Cleveland House, originally built in 1794 by our community’s first settler and American Revolutionary War veteran, Captain Ephraim Cleveland.

Captain Cleveland would surely be proud to know that more than 230 years after he and the other early settlers established this community, a young local resident chose to give back in such a meaningful way.

Thank you, Maddox Mannella, for your incredible gift to the community. Your thoughtfulness and dedication to preserving our local history are truly appreciated.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Heather Clark and Chad Ayers for helping bring this vision to life after the Historical Society shared its wish for such a project. Your support is a wonderful example of what community is all about.

Together, you have helped preserve and celebrate an important piece of our shared heritage for future generations.

The retainer wall at the Cleveland House is taking shape. Thank you to Ed Amaker, Trish Lambiase, Kevin Johnson, Tim Williams, for your hard work today!

Another volunteer today got to sign a stone. You too can be a part of Cleveland House history by signing and dating a stone and leaving in the Cleveland House parking lot. Stones of all shapes and sizes will be used in the wall.
Stone wall work will continue through the summer every Saturday from 9:00 -11:00 am unless it is raining. Come join us, no experience necessary.
