During a recent Ikebana class held at Inspirations, a painting by gallery artist Dora Knuteson was interpreted in flowers through the timeless practice of Ikebana. The class was led by Margy Metzler, Master Ikebana Sensei.

Ikebana—the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging—embraces simplicity, asymmetry, and negative space, honoring seasonal change and the fleeting beauty of nature. The result? Thoughtful, expressive arrangements that bring paintings to life in a whole new way.

Over 20 Ikebana floral designers will be among the 50+ floral designers participating in the Naples Art DIstrict’s signature event, Artful Arrangements, January 16-18 with splendid interpretive arrangements shown the artist’s studios. Mark your calendar for this must see event for art & floral enthusiasts alike.
