Great news

Thank you to all the art lovers who attended our special event on Thursday night, celebrating the future of Artis—Naples, at which Kathleen van Bergen, Courtney McNeil, and Patty and Jay Baker proudly announced that The Baker Museum has achieved accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums, the highest national recognition afforded to museums in the United States!

Accreditation signifies excellence within the museum community as well as to governments, funders, outside agencies and the public. Only approximately 3% of museums nationwide have earned this distinction, and The Baker Museum is now one of just 28 accredited art museums in Florida.

If you’ve ever participated in our multidisciplinary programs, made a gift to Artis—Naples, volunteered your time and expertise, explored our galleries, joined a docent-led tour, strolled the outdoor sculpture trail, stopped in before a performance or simply shared the museum with someone new, you’ve helped make this achievement possible. Thank you for being a part of our shared story and exciting future ahead.
