Painting wet-on-wet, I focus primarily on oils with the occasional use of acrylic gessos. My favorite is to combine the two mediums. Happy Painting!
Having no previous painting experience, I was inspired to pick up a brush by watching reruns of Bob Ross. Very quickly, I discovered the joy of painting and it has become an instant passion of mine. her the joy and peace that is achieved throughout the process. As this is a hobby of mine, I'm not in the market of trying to break the bank charging exorbitant amounts for my pieces. Art is subjective and the value of each piece really is dictated by the viewer, not the creator. To that end, I'm just grateful that anyone would take time to see my work.

Had an amazing time last week painting at Janet's Art Planet with 6 other talented artists, many of which have never used oils or the wet-on-wet technique. Played with color today, based on Bob Ross's "Old Weathered Barn". May keep tinkering with it or add some big foreground trees when it dries, we'll see. Will definitely attempt more autumn scenes in the future. I could use the practice!

Had an amazing time teaching newbies at the Oak Brook Art League how to paint alla prima (wet-on-wet) using oils. We were under a bit of a time crunch, so several people decided to take theirs home and continue working on their oval paintings.
So proud of everyones effort and display of enthusiasm. What wonderful fellowship with great conversations and above all... LOTS OF FUN!!
