It's the last Monday of the month . . . That means its meeting night for the Historical District and Inn Museum. We will have our monthly meeting this evening at 7:00 at the Historical District in the office/genealogy room. Discussion will include our upcoming meatloaf supper, repairs to the soffits, and our craft & vendor events for Fall and Winter. Board members need to attend, members and the public are welcome.

Good Morning, our apologies for the late post. Yesterday was a very warm day, but our volunteers pulled through our Spaghetti Supper. Thank you to everyone that came out and had supper with us. You are all very appreciated!!

We also want to say Thank you to everyone that came to our Liberty Tree Dedication Ceremony. Thank you to our local Mayors that came out and the team from the Franklin County Emergency Management and Office of Emergency Communications. It was a very hot afternoon. The Sons of the American Revolution, Long Knives Chapter did a wonderful job in the ceremony and recognized local patriots through placing a wreath on the placard for the Liberty Tree. They did three shots from their cannon (which was awesome).

Again, thank you all for a wonderful (hot) day of supporting the West Franklin Historical District and Silkwood Inn Museum and our events!! You are all appreciated more than you know.

BIG things happening on Saturday, July 18th!! Our Liberty Tree Dedication with the Sons of the American Revolution, Long Knives Chapter is at 3:00 pm and our Spaghetti Supper is from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. We hope you are able to come out and support both events.
