This photo was taken 1972 on my first inner Grand Canyon hike, and in cowboy boots, the only shoes I owned. Bright Angel Trail changed my life forever, and for the better. I will be the second speaker at Prix de West lecture series, National Cowboy Museum, Oklahoma City, Friday morning 10:30am, June 12. Prix de West Seminars are open to the public with Museum admission. Following a short video narrated by me, my friend Micheal Clawson, the very well-known editor of Western Art Collector Magazine will interview me about my new art book Resilience: The Life and Grand Canyon Art of Curt Walters. Dyslexia will be part of that discussion. Q&A will be followed by a book signing.

Brian Hinson’s book event went very well! He filled the house! Brian gave some background on the book, read from three different chapters and fielded questions from those in attendance. He did a great job. We even had a man fly in from El Paso in his private airplane. He landed at the Mountainair airport and I picked him up. Brian sold and autographed many books. Sorry no pics. I was too involved listening to his presentation.
