Painting with Panache at the Ozark Folk Center!
Join artist Jim Tindall for a relaxing, beginner‑friendly evening as we paint a beautiful tree overlooking a river. Whether you’ve painted for years or never held a brush, you’ll leave with a finished masterpiece.

Tuesday, Aug. 18, 5:30-7:30 pm, paint this Single Tree by the River in the Painting with Panache class taught by Jim Tindall. Class is in the Art Cabin at the Ozark Folk Center State Park, Mountain View. Enter the Craft Village through the wooden door adjacent to the larger gate off the Visitor Center Parking lot, just below the Center.
Everyone is welcome, whether you have experience painting or not. Jim will lead everyone in a step by step process to the completion of the painting during the two hour session. RSVP- Please confirm your intention to attend by responding to this email noting the date, time and Location!
Cost of the class is $45 cash or check only, paid directly to Jim. This covers all materials including a 16" x 20" canvas. Email Jim directly at [email protected] or call 501-840-1825 to sign up or for more information.

Donabob's Designs has donated this absolutely stunning quilt to be awarded to the Grand Champion of the Arkansas State Old Time Fiddle & Banjo Championships this Saturday.

Donabob's is a big supporter of the Championship Competition, having provided the fabric, embroidery and quilting of the quilt. Donabob wants to recognize Joyce Honeycutt for piecing & binding of the quilt. And, also, Loretta Shannon for creating and printing the quilt label on the back.

This quilt will be on display at Donabob's Designs today and tomorrow for all to admire. This photo cannot do it justice. Come by and see this quilt in person before it goes home with the next Grand Champion.

Musicians from across the region will compete for state bragging rights when the Arkansas State Old Time Fiddle & Banjo Championships returns to the Ozark Highlands Theater located inside Ozark Folk Center State Park. FREE ADMISSION for spectators 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 5:30 p.m.
