York Haven Borough is excited to share that brand new lighting has been installed at the York Haven Library, located at 2 N Front St, York Haven, PA 17370, bringing fresh light to a space filled with over a century of history!
Established in 1920, our library has long been a cornerstone of the community and it is the second oldest library in York County. It’s also home to NeyChip North Eastern York County History In Preservation where our local stories, heritage, and memories are thoughtfully preserved for generations to come. The current feature at the NeyChip History Center is America 250th anniversary. Starting in August the feature will be “The Great York County.”
We invite you to stop in, explore, and experience the rich history of York Haven in a newly brightened and welcoming setting. The Center and library are now open Saturdays 9-12 and Tuesdays 4:30-6:30. For the summer they will be closed on Wednesdays

We at North Eastern York County History in Preservation greatly appreciate York Haven Borough government for allowing us to use their building to house NeyChip History for the past two years. We are looking forward to renewing our agreement with them for another several years. They have been making improvements to their 105-year-old building. One is a new lighting system. It is a major project and will not be safe for the public. Because it is taking longer than expected, the Center and library have been closed and will remain close just for a little longer. I recently found this photo claiming that it is part of the Conewago Canal. I need to verify that it is.
