Currently rearing 104 larvae, caring for 1 butterfly (emerged 8:00am), released 3 butterflies so far, 19 are in the chrysalis stage, 1 is in the "J" and will be going into its chrysalis soon, 30 are in the Anishinabe Butterfly Lodge getting ready to "J", 54 more will be joining the lodge as soon as they're big enough.

The Ziibiwing Center staff and volunteers have been working diligently to rear 113 monarch butterfly larvae. We'd like to say, "Happy Birthday! to our first butterfly born today. She will be receiving her flight instructions and will begin her journey south soon. Miigwetch to all of our supporters. Our winged friends are grateful too. We hope to see you on Monarch Butterfly Day at the Ziibiwing Center on Friday, September 18, 2026!
