Mt. Pleasant/Maury Museum of Local History In 1991, a group of friends met at a local restaurant with an idea to preserve the town's rich history. Thirty-four years their legacy lives on.

Come visit the museum where history rocks. Admission is free. gift shop on-site. The Museum has exhibits on three floors in the Old First National Bank Building which was donated to the Museum President Irene Dugger in 1996. We are fully handicap accessible.

Its about that time and the museum needs help decorating for the big guy. We need 3 slim Christmas trees about 6 foot tall. Looking for as donation or loan through Christmas. Please message me. We prefer slim but will take any tree.

Happy 250th Independence Day. The one day of the year we should remember those brave Revolutionary War Veterans and those we lost to be free of the Crown in England.
The museum will be closed today to allow staff to celebrate with family.
We will open Monday the 6 at 10 am.
