The Charleston Artist Collective started as an online art gallery, www.charlestonartistcollective.org, where local Charleston area, artists can grow their potential while offering collectors access to original, affordable art. The Collective website features a new themed collection of original paintings each month. 5% of these monthly online sales benefit local area non-profits.

GUEST CURATORS ✨ Mallory May and Blythe Harris are co-founders of DailyCreative and co-authors of the instant national bestseller: “Daily Creative: The 5-Minute Habit to Rewire Your Brain”.

They are lifelong creativity advocates, design thinkers and mess makers who have spent their careers helping others connect with their innate creativity. Blythe was co-founder and chief creative officer of Stella & Dot, and has been featured in Inc., Fast Company, Vogue France, and Elle, and on the TODAY show. Mallory spent over a decade as a vice president at Sotheby’s before launching a career as an artist, designer, and creative director. Janie Ball a Charleston native. The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) graduate has had a successful marketing career winning ADDY and CASE Awards prior to returning to fine art full time. Her paintings are composed of bold thoughtful shapes of color which when visually combined by the viewer “paint” the image, be it en plein air, contemporary realism, or abstract expressionism. The Charleston Artist Collective member’s paintings are in private and corporate collections including the Belmond Charleston Place and MUSC Children’s Hospital. Janie’s work has been exhibited in solo and group shows, as far away as Portland, Maine. In Spring of 2017, her painting “Out of the Blue” was selected as the Community Choice Winner for ArtPop Street Gallery of Charleston, to be featured on an Adams Outdoor Advertising 14-foot x 48-foot billboard for a year. http://janieballpaints.com/
