On July 16–17, the Surry Arts Council was honored to host the Consular TEAM Section of the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C., as they provided mobile consular services to Thai nationals living in North Carolina and neighboring states. The event was held at the Arts Center building, which is directly across the street from the Andy Griffith Museum.

During the two-day event, the Embassy assisted 103 individuals with a variety of essential services, including issuing new passports, renewing Thai national identification cards, processing birth and death certificate applications, and providing consultations on matters such as document legalization, civil registration, and powers of attorney.

Opening day of the Siamese Twins Museum, July 1, 2024! Many thanks to all the fine folk who made opening the museum possible through many years of hard work, research, patience, and dedication. The late, great Kester Sink was the first individual to enter the museum on opening day. Again, thank you all who made the museum possible and to all those who visit. We could not do what we do without the support and care of so many!
