WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR STORIES!! We will be having our monthly membership meeting on Monday, the 17th, at 6:00 pm. We will meet at the Bloyd House, located at 600 Tomlinson Avenue. Instead of our typical lecture-style meeting, we will be having a trip down memory lane with an open discussion about the businesses that used to be here in Moundsville!

The discussion will be led by our board president, Gary Rider, and he hopes to hear everything you have to say! We hope you all bring your stories, photographs, and artifacts to tell us about. As always, our meetings are open to non-members. Light refreshments will be provided.

Tickets are $20 and will be paid upon arrival. Catering will be provided by Alexander's on 7th.

Join the Moundsville Historic Landmarks Commission and the Marshall County Historical Society for a walking tour of Moundsville’s Mount Rose Cemetery. Cost is $20 and reservations are required. Reservations will be accepted until August 12. Light snacks and water will be provided. Parking is at 803 Brown Street across the street (Please do not drive into the cemetery for the tour). Because of the terrain of the cemetery, this tour is not suitable for those in wheelchairs, scooters, strollers, or needing assistance walking over uneven surfaces. A view that not many people see is the view from the third floor landing windows here at the Bloyd House. You can see so much of Moundsville, but today it looks a bit smokier than it usually does. Stay safe everyone!
